From 2009-13, I was Director of New Contemporaries, the UK’s leading organisation supporting emergent art practice. I revitalised the organisation, brought it out of special measures, wrote its first business plan, and increased audiences by over 40%.
In this time I became skilled at looking at work by young artists and understanding how to help them scale up their ambition.
